i’m trying to highlight text in a pdf, and have the highlighted rectangle to be drawn under the text. It works fine on most PDF’s, but I jumped into a problem when the text I’m trying to highlight has an image/background under it.
When creating type for display on the web, consider that anti-aliasing greatly increases the number of colors in the original image. This limits your ability to reduce the number of colors in the image and thus to reduce the size of the image file.

i’m trying to highlight text in a pdf, and have the highlighted rectangle to be drawn under the text. It works fine on most PDF’s, but I jumped into a problem when the text I’m trying to highlight has an image/background under it.

Since your document is a scanned image, the text highlighter tool won’t work for you. However, you can highlight areas with the drawing markup tools (in the Comments panel).

When creating type for display on the web, consider that anti-aliasing greatly increases the number of colors in the original image. This limits your ability to reduce the number of colors in the image and thus to reduce the size of the image file.
